Electrical fault finding and repairs in London
A circuit that keeps tripping, a dead socket or lights that flicker. We find the cause, explain it plainly and fix it.

What this service covers
Electrical faults rarely fix themselves. A circuit that trips, a socket that has gone dead or a light that flickers is telling you something, and guessing at the cause can waste time and money. We diagnose and investigate the problem, explain what we find in plain English and quote for the repair once the fault and the work needed are clear.
Some faults need further investigation, for example where wiring is concealed or where more than one problem is involved. If that happens we tell you, and any additional cost is agreed with you before we go ahead. For urgent issues, call us. Emergency call-outs may be available outside normal hours, subject to availability.
Common electrical faults we deal with
Safety first. If there is a fire, smoke or anyone is in danger, call 999. If you notice a burning smell, scorched fittings or water near electrics, switch off at the consumer unit if it is safe to do so and do not use the circuit.

Questions we hear about this service
Why does my RCD keep tripping?
Common causes are a faulty appliance, damp or a wiring fault. Unplug the appliances on that circuit and see whether it holds. If it keeps tripping, stop resetting it and get it checked.
Is it safe to keep resetting a trip switch?
If something trips repeatedly, it is doing its job by cutting the power. Do not keep resetting it. Unplug what you can and get the cause found.
Why have some of my sockets stopped working?
It could be a tripped device, a loose connection or a damaged cable. Testing shows which.
Do you offer emergency call-outs?
Emergency call-outs may be available outside normal working hours, subject to availability. Please call us on 07539 900999 to check. If anyone is in danger, call 999.
